Awareness campaigns were launched in Kanyakumari District to create awakening about AIDS, HIV and sexually transmitted diseases, we arer working against AIDS/HIV. Anti AIDS programmes were conducted through cultural performances non-formal education, house visit and camps.
We identified the STD patients through our staff members by of one-to me interaction. We identified nearly 48 STD patients from our target village and also we guide to take treatment through government hospitals and STD clinics. We identified the local sex workers and gave awareness education on the harmful effects. Prevention methods and their future etc.
For the HIV/AIDS patients necessary arrangement were made to get better treatment and counseling.
Also we offered free counseling, legal aid to distrust women fights for the victims of sexual harassment.
